Frequently Asked Questions
Honest answers to common questions — so you can feel confident and cared for from the start.
-
I specialise in supporting babies and toddlers through the earliest stages of life — from birth up to around 24 months.
New Baby Support: from birth to around 12 weeks, focused on postnatal care, feeding, soothing, and early rhythms.
Gentle Sleep Support: from approximately 4 months to 24 months, supporting families with responsive, attachment-informed approaches to sleep as their little ones grow.
-
I provide in-home support for families based in London. Online services — including sleep consultations and follow-up support — are available to families across the UK and internationally.
-
Sessions are 4–6 hours long, always in the afternoons. This timing allows me to be fully present during a period when babies are often more unsettled and parents may be most in need of rest and reassurance.
-
It’s entirely up to you. Many families choose a one-off session to focus on a specific concern or to gain confidence in those early weeks. Others prefer to book regular support — for example, weekly visits over the first month or a series of sessions during the fourth trimester — to build continuity and deeper guidance.
-
Availability can vary throughout the year, and many families choose to book several weeks — or even months — ahead, especially for newborn support. If you’re expecting a baby, it’s a good idea to reserve your sessions during pregnancy to secure your preferred dates.
That said, I occasionally have last-minute availability, so it’s always worth getting in touch — I’ll do my best to accommodate your family’s needs.

Yes! I hold qualifications as an Early Years Practitioner (NCFE CACHE Level 3), a Maternity Nurse (OCN Level 5), and a Sleep Practitioner (OCN Level 6). I’ve also supported over 170 families in London through hands‑on experience in early years care.
-
No — my support is designed to complement, not replace, the care provided by your health visitor, GP, or other medical professionals. I offer evidence-based guidance on sleep, development, and day-to-day care, but I do not diagnose medical conditions or provide medical treatment.
If I ever have concerns about your baby’s health or development, I’ll always recommend that you speak with your healthcare provider for further assessment and support.
-
No — I do not use “cry it out” or any rigid, one-size-fits-all sleep training methods. My approach is always gentle, responsive, and attachment-informed, supporting babies and parents to feel safe and connected throughout the process.
We work together to understand your child’s individual needs and create sustainable changes at a pace that feels right for your family. My aim is to build healthy sleep habits while nurturing trust, security, and emotional wellbeing.
-
Absolutely. I encourage partners and other primary caregivers to be involved wherever possible. Consistency and shared understanding make a big difference, and having everyone on the same page helps your baby feel secure and supported.
Whether it’s attending a consultation, joining part of an in-home session, or learning soothing and settling techniques together, we can tailor the support to include anyone who plays a key role in your baby’s care.
-
Yes. During New Baby Support sessions, I can look after your baby while you rest, shower, or take a break. At the same time, much of my role is to guide you through gentle techniques and answer your questions, so you feel confident when I’m not there.
-
I don’t bring equipment with me, as most families already have the essentials at home. However, I’m very happy to recommend products — such as sleepwear, white noise machines, slings, or other useful items — based on your baby’s age, needs, and your family’s preferences.
My recommendations are always independent and evidence-based, with a focus on practicality, safety, and supporting your baby’s development — never on promoting specific brands.

I understand that life with a baby can be unpredictable, and sometimes plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please let me know as soon as possible.
Cancellations made with at least 48 hours’ notice can usually be rescheduled without charge. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice may still be charged in full, as it’s often difficult to fill the booking at short notice.
Full details of my cancellation policy will be provided when you book, and I’m always happy to discuss individual circumstances.

To arrange a session, simply get in touch. From there, we can discuss your needs, availability, and the type of support that would suit your family best.
Once we’ve agreed on a date and service, I’ll send you a short intake form to gather key details ahead of our session. Payment is usually required at the time of booking to confirm your place.
If you’re unsure which service is right for you, don’t worry — I’m happy to talk things through and help you choose the most supportive option.
