At La Câlinerie, I’m committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data I collect, why I collect it, how it’s used and stored, and your rights under UK GDPR.

Services: online consultations worldwide; nights/live-in support across the UK & Europe (EN/FR).
2. The data I collect
I only collect information needed to deliver safe, effective support and to run the business.
Contact details: name, email, phone, address, time zone.
Family & child details: baby’s name/date of birth (and adjusted age if relevant), feeding and sleep history, routines, household context, relevant health information you choose to share.
Booking & admin: enquiry notes, availability, signed agreements, invoices.
Communications: emails, WhatsApp/voice notes, call summaries.
Payments: processed securely by third-party providers; I do not store card details.
Website data (basic): standard logs (e.g., IP and browser info) and any form submissions. (See Cookie Notice if applicable.)
Some information about your baby’s health may be considered special category data. I will only process such data with your explicit consent, or where necessary (e.g., vital interests/safeguarding).
3. Why I use your data (lawful bases)
To provide services and manage your booking (UK GDPR: contract).
To tailor support, plans and follow-up (contract; consent for any special category data).
To communicate during/after support (contract; legitimate interests for reasonable aftercare and record-keeping).
To take payment and handle accounts/tax (legal obligation).
To keep children safe and escalate concerns if needed (vital interests / legal obligation).
To run and protect the business (IT/security, troubleshooting) (legitimate interests).
4. How I store and protect your data
Digital records are held on password-protected devices and reputable platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, WhatsApp, booking/payment tools).
Access is limited to me (and any processor strictly as necessary).
Retention: intake forms, plans and essential notes are kept for 7 years (professional guidance/insurance). Routine messages are kept only as long as needed for your support. After retention, data is securely deleted.
5. Sharing your data
I do not sell your data. I may share it only with:
Service providers acting as processors (e.g., email, video, cloud storage, payment). They must keep it secure and follow my instructions.
Healthcare or safeguarding bodies if there is a safety concern or where the law requires it.
Professional supervision/learning: occasionally anonymised case reflections; no identifying details without your consent.
6. International transfers
Some providers may store data outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, I use services with appropriate safeguards (e.g., UK adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
Access your data and receive a copy
Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
Erase your data (where legally possible)
Restrict or object to certain processing
Data portability (for information you provided)
Withdraw consent at any time, where processing relies on consent

8. Children’s data
I process children’s data with the parent/carer’s authority and only as needed to deliver support that is safe and appropriate.

Recording of sessions is not permitted. Any written plans or resources I provide are for your personal use only and must not be shared or reproduced.
10. Communications & messaging
Where follow-up is included, I respond to WhatsApp/email Mon–Fri within 24 hours. These platforms are third-party services (e.g., WhatsApp is end-to-end encrypted), so please avoid sending anything you’re not comfortable sharing digitally.
11. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The version shown here applies from the effective date above.
